The Logistics and Supply Chain Management course offered in the International Trade and Logistics and International Trade and Finance departments of our faculty was concluded with an industry visit. In the final week of the course, students had the opportunity to meet the business world in the field and observe real-life practices on site.

The technical visit, conducted under the guidance of Course Coordinator Prof. Dr. Sinan Esen and Course Assistant Research Assistant Çağdaş Ateş, included a visit to the facilities of FGİ Door and Loading Technologies Inc., operating in Sakarya. During the visit, students closely examined the company’s production lines, products, and operational processes.

At the beginning of the visit, Chairman of the Board of FGİ Door and Loading Technologies Inc., Günay Güneş, provided students with general information about the company. Accompanying him during the presentation were the company’s Eskişehir Regional Sales Manager and After-Sales Services Department specialists, who shared detailed insights into both the sales process and after-sales services.

In the continuation of the program, Chairman of the Board of the Warehouse Management Association, Barbaros Aba, delivered a comprehensive presentation on global developments and emerging trends in the logistics sector. Board members Recep Koca and Ayşe Arar Kurt also accompanied the students, engaging with them individually, sharing their experiences, and answering their questions.

This industry meeting, held in a highly productive and welcoming atmosphere, provided our students with an extremely valuable experience by allowing them to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical observation.

As the Faculty of Applied Sciences, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Chairman of the Board of FGİ Door and Loading Technologies Inc., Günay Güneş, Board Members Ali İhsan Güneş, Gürkan Güneş, and Güngör Güneş, the company’s sales and technical teams, Chairman of the Board of the Warehouse Management Association, Barbaros Aba, and board members Recep Koca and Ayşe Arar Kurt, as well as Ömür Can Uçar and Doğan Güneş for sharing their valuable knowledge with us.
