The Metropolitan Municipality shared all the details about the new transportation system in the Yenikent region with the public in bullet points. It was stated that the date of implementation would be announced shortly.

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality announced all the details regarding the changes to be made in the public transportation system in the Yenikent region.

The detailed information shared by the Transportation Department regarding the changes is as follows:

- WHAT IS THIS SYSTEM?

-The entire public transportation system in the Yenikent region has been integrated into the Metrobus Line Main Trunk System.

- The existing routes of 122 vehicles, consisting of minibuses, municipal buses, and private public buses that transport passengers from the city center to the Yenikent region, have been revised.

- Internal routes have been created for Karaman, Evrenköy, Camili, Korucuk, and Aşırlar, and the routes of these lines to the city center have been canceled and converted to intra-neighborhood passenger transportation.

- WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THIS SYSTEM?

- With the new system, travel times between Yenikent and the city center, which currently range from a minimum of 45 to a maximum of 60 minutes, will be reduced to 25-30 minutes, saving time.

- Currently, 122 vehicles, including 90 minibuses, 27 municipal buses, and 5 private public buses, operate an average of 2,000 trips daily. With the new system, the traffic burden created by these vehicles will be eliminated, providing relief.

- The current passenger congestion during certain hours will be eliminated with the capacity increase brought by the new system.

- WHAT ARE THE M1 AND M2 METROBUS LINES?

- In the new system, two different routes have been created: the “M1” and “M2” Metrobüs Lines.

- The route for the “M1” line has been determined as Adapazarı Gar Square and Korucuk Ulubey Station.

- The M1 Korucuk Line will depart from Korucuk and stop at Camili 2, Valilik, Karaman, Hasır Sokak, AGDAŞ, Şeker Mahallesi Millet Bahçesi, and Orta Garaj, ending at Gar Meydanı.

- The route for the “M2” line will be between the Campus Settlement and Korucuk Ulubey Station.

- The M2 Campus Line will depart from Yazlık Junction, exit the Metrobus Road, and follow the route of Mehmet Akif Ersoy Street, 2nd Street, Medeniyet Boulevard, and University Street to reach the Campus Settlement.

- The route of the metrobus, which currently carries passengers to Camili, will be extended to Korucuk Ulubey Station with the new system.

- WHICH ROUTES HAVE BEEN REVISED AND CANCELED?

Revised special public bus routes:

* The revised minibuses will serve as part of the Aşırlar Special Public Bus and Korucuk Minibus Branch.

* The revised Evrenköy-Karapınar Route will not operate in the city center; it will serve as a neighborhood feeder route, transporting passengers to the nearest Metrobus Route.

* There have been no changes to the blue minibus inner route operating in the Karaman-Camili-Korucuk neighborhoods.

* Karaman Minibuses, which depart from the Unkapanı area and serve the YENİKENT area, will continue their services between Unkapanı and Yazlık intersection under the new arrangement. With this arrangement, metrobus connections will be provided for citizens along the route.

* Minibuses providing public transportation service from the Unkapanı area to Dağdibi will also continue their current service in the same manner.

- HOW WILL PASSENGERS USING THESE ROUTES BE TRANSPORTED?

- Passengers of canceled or revised routes will be transported to the Metrobus Line via the newly created “Neighborhood Feeder Routes.”

- Passengers wishing to reach Yenikent from the city center and the Campus Area will be transported easily, safely, and without traffic to the “Neighborhood Feeder Line” point via the “M1 and M2 – Two Different Metrobus Lines.”

- WHAT WILL THE ROUTES OF THE FEEDER LINES BE?

* Korucuk Feeder Lines (Internal Lines)

Three different routes have been determined for the Korucuk Hospital Station departure of the Metrobus Line.

Korucuk 1 (Green Route): Korucuk Park, Toki C Blocks, Dorukkent 1739 and 1745 ADA, Korucuk Covered Market, Baytur Korukent Site, Vakıfkent Toki Primary School, İdealkent, Ulubey intersection, and Korucuk Hospital Metrobüs Station

Korucuk 2 (Blue Line Route): Korucuk Village Center, Arif Nihat Asya Middle School, Korucuk Health Center, Korucuk Street, Numan Yazıcı Mosque, Oğuz Ata Street, Toki Korucuk Primary School, and Korucuk Hospital Metrobus Station

Korucuk 1 (Orange Line): Between Oğuz Ata Street, Korucuk Covered Market, Dorukkent Mosque, Korucuk 4th Stage, Vakıfkent Toki Primary School, İdealkent, Ulubey Junction, and Korucuk Hospital Metrobus Station

* Aşırlar Line (Inner Lines)

Karadavutlu, Aşırlar, Nasuhlar, Camili, Korucuk, and Korucuk Hospital Metrobüs Station

* Evrenköy-Karapınar Line (Internal Lines)

Will reach Karaman Metrobüs Station using the roads within the villages of Evrenköy and Karaponar.
